The Quantum IV BIA Analyzer

The Quantum IV precisely measures resistance and reactance with 0.1 ohms of resolution. New features such as a bright back lit LCD and isolated USB port are standard. It is used to assess human body composition from whole-body measurements. By measuring the way the body conducts electricity, it can perform a complete body composition analysis and generate a printout using BC (body composition) software in a matter of minutes. In addition, the Quantum IV can also be configured as a segmental BIA analyzer where the resistance and reactance values of each arm, leg and the torso can be measured. The Quantum IV is an advanced BIA Analyzer System with features and specifications not currently available in traditional RJL products. It is extremely accurate and easy to use with an enclosure that has a comfortable curved ergonomic design. As RJL Systems develops new capabilities for the Quantum IV, the analyzer can be re-programmed to incorporate new features via a PC connected to the Internet.

The reliability and repeatability of the Quantum IV is the same as all RJL Systems BIA instruments because the subject (patient) is not directly connected to any active circuits or ground paths. Only the true biological resistance and reactance between the detecting electrodes is linearly measured from 0 to 1000 ohms. This unique isolation is what gives RJL Products and the Quantum IV its unsurpassed reliability, accuracy and repeatability.
